Some of you have asked me what the purpose of the W.I.S.E. Project is. For me my ultimate goal is to be more mindful, to be present in my life, engaged, aware of my feelings and actions and to feel complete and choose happiness always.
My mind is always full but am I always mindful? I already know the answer and that is why I am starting the W.I.S.E. Project.
I know that I am accountable for my own fulfillment, and therefore I’ve decided to be engaged in my own life and the good parts of the world around me, instead of focusing on the negative. I want to take steps to make positive changes every day by being mindful of specific actions and feelings that I have outlined month to month.
I will keep a daily journal and provide a written account monthly of my triumphs, my struggles, what I have learned and what I want to learn. For those of you that join me I know that I will not only learn through your experiences but I will be enriched by your journey.
How can you join me?
If you are a blog follower you can join me by keeping an active journal based on the monthly acronym for W.I.S.E. and do a monthly post about your experience, you can use a pingback to my blog if you like. Please comment somehow so I can see and comment on your posts! You can keep a conscious account of the project and update me through comments, either through WordPress, Twitter or Facebook. You can follow along and silently scowl or applaud. There is no right or wrong way, your level of engagement is up to you. I don’t want this to become a task for you, I want it to be something you look forward to.
I am very excited about this and I cannot wait be a main character in my own life.

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When you’re mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience.
